About Us
Creating safer homes. Supporting lasting independence.
Rethinkable is a specialist hoarding and self-neglect intervention service supporting adults across East Sussex and parts of Kent. We provide compassionate, person-centred support for individuals experiencing challenges with hoarding, self-neglect, mental health, and complex living situations.
Founded by two individuals with many years of experience working in mental health roles, Rethinkable was created to bridge the gap between traditional cleaning services and the hands-on support many people need. Our experience has given us a unique understanding of the impact mental health, life circumstances, and living environments can have on a person’s wellbeing.
More than cleaning - support that understands
Our approach goes beyond creating a tidy space. We focus on building trust, confidence, and practical skills that help people maintain positive changes long after our support ends. Every intervention is tailored to the individual, recognising that each situation has its own story.
Working together for lasting impact
We work alongside individuals, families, local authorities, housing providers, social care teams, and NHS services to improve safety, reduce isolation, and support long-term independence.
Combining safeguarding knowledge with trauma-informed practice, we provide respectful, professional support that protects dignity while helping people create safer, more manageable homes.
